Once you’ve completed the Open Water Diver Course (OWD) and that you’re ready to take it to the next level, the Advanced Open Water Diver Course (AOWD) is exactly what you will be looking for.
This PADI recognized scuba course will allow you to dive up to 30 meters (100 feet). The AOWD course increases your confidence, improves your knowledge of dive equipment, diving procedures and general diving theory. Within your training, there are two (2) required dives: Deep and Underwater Navigation. From there, you choose the other three (3) dives, for a total of five (5) dives. During the Deep Adventure Dive, you learn how to plan dives to deal with the physiological effects and challenges of deeper scuba diving.
The Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive refines your compass navigation skills and helps you better navigate using kick-cycles, visual landmarks and time. The other knowledge and skills you get vary with your interest and the adventures you have. (e.g.: photography, buoyancy control, fish identification, exploring wrecks, night dives and many more). The Advanced Open Water Diver Course (AOWD) is a scuba certification course recognized by PADI.
