My name is François Bizier Brière and I have been living in Playa del Carmen since 2005! But, please call me Frank! Locals here also gave me a nickname: “El Güero”! It is pronounced “where-oh”. It’s a slang for a fair-skinned or fair-haired male; the Spanish equivalent of “whitey” or “the blond guy”!

I am the President & CEO of Enjoy Riviera Maya and I am here to let you experience unique diving or snorkeling, explore the depth and the many secrets of the cenotes or even swim with the turtles in their natural habitat! My Story

Once upon a time… I used to live in Canada or more precisely, in Montreal city. My journey started when I first learned scuba diving in the many cold

lakes of the province of Quebec. Even though the diving conditions were harsh, my passion for scuba diving never stopped to grow. I had the opportunity to combine my new growing passion to traveling and got to experience the warm and crystal waters of the many places I visited like Turkey, Egypt, Thailand and many more. Of course, Mexico was always on the list and especially Playa del Carmen for its accessibility to the Cenotes.

Keeping going back and forth from the cold weather of my hometown to the perfect and warm weather of the Caribbeans, I completely felt in love with it! I mean who wouldn’t! I also realized that whatever I was doing, I just couldn’t get enough of it! I also kept realizing that the tourist industry at the time was growing at a great pace in the Riviera Maya and that’s when I started to share my passion with the many others that would be interested in the diving or snorkeling tours that I was proposing, but especially with those who wanted to experience something different from what all the “all inclusive resorts” were offering at the time. That’s when I decided to combine my passion with business by adding many new services like rental properties and wedding celebrations to name only those.

Of course, I can’t hide that fact that I was a little bit fed up with the cold, the snow and the car plowing!All in all, I really feel that a great work and life balance is essential in my life and that I completely fulfilled this aspect by moving down here in Playa del Carmen enjoying life just like the many vacationers coming here to spend some quality time with heir friends and family.
