Take the Divemaster Course (DM) and do what you love to do as a career. Scuba divers look up to divemasters because they are leaders who mentor and motivate others. As a divemaster, you not only get to dive a lot, but also experience the joy of seeing others have as much fun diving as you do.

With Enjoy Riviera Maya, you will work closely with our certified scuba driving instructor to fine-tune your dive skills, perfect the effortless hover and refine your rescue skills so you can anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll also gain a lot of diving knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you can become a role model to divers everywhere.

Do not forget that you will also be completing this training within one of the best diving location in the world! Note that the Divemaster Course (DM) is also your first level of professional training. Once you’ll have successfully completed the training you’ll be able to lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training. Whether you want to work at a faraway dive destination or close to home at a local dive shop, the adventure of a lifetime awaits you. The Divemaster Course (DM) is a scuba certification course recognized by PADI.



  • Minimum age is 18
  • Adequate swimming skills and be in good physical health
  • Valid Rescue Diver Certification (RD)*
  • At least 40 logged dives to begin the course and 60 dives to earn certification.
  • Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months (these training can be completed during the Rescue Diving Course)
  • A PADI Medical Form must be filled and signed by your general practitioner (GP) within the last 12 months prior to confined water sessions. If you answer “yes” to any of the questions in the questionnaire, medical clearance is needed from your general practitioner (GP) prior to diving.

**Cenotes are privately owned and run by local Mayan communities. Therefore, the local communities use the money from the entree fee to maintain their land, provide their guests with clean public bathrooms and an eco-friendly water waste system that contribute to the care of the environment and the pride of the town. Some, even build their own open restaurant and palapas on site.

***If you chose the e-learning option you will not require the Divemaster Manual. However, you will need to purchase the other materials mentioned above in the Divemaster CrewPak (USD $300).

Pictures & videos are taken with a GoPro camera. Do not forget your SD Card to grab your souvenir!


At all times, we will provide an oxygen kit, medical kit, equipment for repairs and bottles of water. Plus, you will always be accompanied by a certified instructor/guide.


PADI flying after diving recommendations for dives within the no-decompression limits (regular recreational diving):

  • Single dives: A minimum pre-flight surface interval of 12 hours is suggested
  • Repetitive dives and/or multiple day dives: A minimum pre-flight surface interval of 18 hours is suggested
